A spiritually mature person will be in the workforce in the church he or she worships. This is because such a person is ready to serve God selflessly and propagate His work. Someone who is spiritually grown is zealous for God’s work and is ready to leave everything for service. He or she won’t put work or even family before God, knowing fully well that God is sovereign, Matt 10:37; He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

If a situation is provided whereby, a person has to make judgements and pronounce verdicts in response to delicate issues. A spiritually mature person will be able to solve the problem objectively without mistakes as he or she is led by the spirit. Room 8:14; For as many as are led by the spirit, they are the sons of God.

A spiritually mature person reflects the character of God to the world. He or she will live life in accordance to God’s will while following the footsteps of Jesus Christ. 2 Tim 4:2; Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
While on earth, Jesus went about teaching the truth of the Kingdom, he has set an example for all to follow, and those who love him and keep his statutes to heart will definitely follow in his footsteps. John 13:15; For I have given you an example; that ye should do as I have done to you. Spiritually mature individuals live admirable lives that others will desire to emulate.

A spiritually mature Christian has ‘Faith’. He or she is a very firm believer and has in-depth knowledge of the word of God. Luke 17:6; And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root and be thou planted into the sea, and it should obey you.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. According to the dictionary meaning, it is the process of forming or understanding abstractions, ideas, or beliefs, without empirical evidence, experience or observation. It takes a lot of gut to trust God even when the future seems bleak. That in itself is the concept of spiritual maturity.

When a person is spiritually mature, even if he or she is highly placed in society or occupies a very great position in an office, people outside of or even within their organization don’t know their status except they are close in relation to them or conduct a thorough investigation. Jesus Christ our perfect example of humility, was meek and lowly in heart. He served humans on earth whereas he was God. He washed the feet of his disciples all in an effort to show humility and set an example for all Christians to follow.
